  • Diarmuid Carter

    Diarmuid Carter

    Founder

    Diarmuid has over twelve years of experience in the film industry. Diarmuid worked as a journalist and English language teacher, before becoming the in-house Script Editor with the ELT department at Oxford University Press. Here he wrote scripts for many of the industry's biggest titles before moving into producing and directing. Diarmuid has a BA in Journalism and an MA in Film and has completed courses in scriptwriting, production and directing with the NFTS and METFILM.

    Emily has been working in professional video production since 2012. She started her career by producing educational content for wildlife charities and schools around the world, filming in Kenya, Uganda, Cameroon and Sierra Leone. Returning to the UK, she managed video post-production for the ELT department at Oxford University Press, while continuing her own business as an illustrator. Emily's passion lies in telling stories through video editing. She's also mad about dogs.

    Emma holds a BA (Hons) in Creative Arts and Design and has over 7 years of experience in video production, specialising in producing video content across the full production process. Before joining Digeo, Emma worked on a wide range of documentary and digital video projects, creating interview-led content, educational resources and long-form productions. Her experience includes producing Heritage Lottery Fund supported projects, as well as filming and developing stories that highlight real people, communities and experiences.

    Dean has been a passionate motion graphics designer for over 13 years, and has been applying his talents professionally for the past five. Dean graduated from the University of South Wales with a BA in Animation Productions and Development, and has a wide variety of experience in his field including development of educational/explainer content, company logo animation, greenscreen and character animation. Dean has worked on projects for many different organisations including the BBC, Macmillan and Oxford University Press. In his spare time, Dean enjoys experimenting in After Effects, tinkering with computer hardware, running, gaming and listening to hard rock music.

    Ross is a specialist ELT video director with a background in both filmmaking and teaching English to international learners. He has directed multiple ELT video series for major publishers. His work includes directing workplace, social and academic scenarios, managing multi-actor performances and ensuring strict script adherence. His teaching experience enables him to refine pacing, clarity and delivery to support learner comprehension.

    Anna Whitcher is a writer, editor, director and video producer of ELT materials and has been working in the language publishing industry for over 25 years. She began her career in the USA and Europe as an English and Spanish teacher and is now the owner and creative director of ELT ImageMakers, an editorial services provider based in the UK. She provides scriptwriting, editorial management and production support for both video and audio products.

    Rebecca has worked in ELT publishing for over a decade. She has a masters in scriptwriting and specialises in writing for ELT videos. Her work as a producer suits her perfectly, given her love of bringing scripts to life, problem-solving, and deadlines.

    Cal is a writer, director and Shropshire lad. Since 2020, he's worked on more than 600 videos for organisations including OUP and the BBC. He uses storytelling to help every student engage with what they're learning, seeing every video for young people, no matter the subject, as an expression of care.

    Laurence has over 16 years experience as a content creator specialising in short form educational videos and documentaries for organisations such as The Open University, WWF and TC-Helicon to name but a few. He was the co-director of Handshake Productions and is an active board director for Ffresh, the Student Media Festival of Wales and is a business role model for the Welsh Government. He has over eight years' experience lecturing in Digital Media, Film production and New Media.

    Warren Green is a highly experienced lighting cameraman with over 25 years in the broadcast and media industry. A creative and well-travelled professional, Warren has worked across a wide variety of genres, including news, sports, current affairs, and entertainment. Skilled in both single camera and multi-camera setups, he is adept in studio and outside broadcast environments. In addition to his technical expertise, Warren has experience in self-directing, having successfully shot and directed several series for the Discovery Channel.

    Adam has been working with cameras for over twenty years, both as a photographer and cinematographer. He has filmed and produced content for corporate, educational, and broadcast partners, including the Ashmolean Museum, The Culham Institute, the University of Oxford, Virgin Experience Days, West Ham United, BBC Ideas, and The Francis Crick Institute. He has lectured in Film and Video and has worked as cinematographer on multiple award-winning short films. Adam holds a BA in Communications.

From Technical Director of local news, to Multimedia Producer for an academic publisher, to Media Production Manager for an educational video company. However, his main passion has always been editing. When not editing professionally, he edits his own creative projects whenever he can. He also enjoys going to the cinema, writing and animating.

She specialises in creating educational and ELT content, alongside marketing and music videos, managing productions from creative concept and filming through to editing, motion graphics and final delivery. She has worked with organisations such as the University of Oxford, Action Against Hunger and Madrid City Council, delivering engaging, high-quality visual content.

He studied Visual Communications in Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology and Music Technology and Sound Design in Sound Training College.

    Steve has been working with audio for over forty years. He started his career as a live sound technician and then worked as a location sound recordist on many Ch4 and BBC documentaries and features. He moved into audio post-production with one of the biggest video facilities companies in the south of England, mixing broadcast documentaries and adverts along with many non-broadcast productions. For the last twelve years he has been a freelance mixer and sound designer with his own mixing facilities at home.

With a background in Global Citizenship Education, he's motivated by doing creative work that has a positive social impact — and by finding any excuse to get outdoors!
